Edmonton–Gold Bar was established as a provincial constituency in 1971. Since then the constituency has had only four MLAs, all of them exceptional Albertans: Bill Yurko, Al Heibert, Bettie Hewes and Hugh MacDonald.
Gold Bar is where David Dorward was raised and where he chose to raise his family. For him and his wife Janice, it is their home and will remain so. It is a safe, stable and clean community, and David cares deeply that it will stay that way. In doing so, Edmonton–Gold Bar will continue to attract new residents and continue to be a place where longtime residents can retire and live in comfort and dignity.
The Edmonton–Gold Bar constituency borders the North Saskatchewan River on the north, the Mill Creek ravine on the west and Argyll Road on the south. With active community leagues in all of the Gold Bar communities, individuals and families have the opportunity to participate in several community initiatives and events.
It is important for you, your friends and neighbours help continue our tradition of strong and local representation in the legislature. Please give David Dorward your consideration as the next MLA for Edmonton-Gold Bar!
